End Of An Era

I visited and took photos of what remains of the park that used to be called Geauga Lake. The park looks a bit like it did back before Funtime Inc. sold the park to Premier Parks back in 1996.
Only differences is the lack of classic flat rides, the removal of the Corkscrew roller coaster and the addition of The Villain wooden roller coaster.

The entrance to the park still remains untouched with the old logo on the entrance.

Villain and Double Loop still remain in the existing skyline of the park. Only one can wonder if anyone will ever buy these two roller coasters.

Skyscraper and Head Spin still dominate the 50s area of the park. It should be interesting to see how Sky Scraper is going to be taken down.

The eight decade old Big Dipper still remains. The Dipper has survived a Tornado, a fire, and numerous ownership changes. Can it survive once more?

Off in the distance stands the old Shark Attack slides from the old Hurricane Harbor/Hurricane Hannah's water park. These slides would make a great addition to the other side of the park in the current water park.

Only a few pieces of Thunder hawk remain in the parking lot. The other pieces are of the old photo booth that is shown in a picture above.

A parking lot that just a little over a month ago that was littered with ride pieces now sits empty and undisturbed.

The Wildwater Kingdom lot is chained up for the winter.

Pieces of Steel Venom still sit in the Wildwater Kingdom lot. Venom will get new life at Dorney Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania as Voodoo.

The Raging Wolf Bobs still remains awaiting a future buyer.

The sun sets on the Double Loop and The Villain as the future of this side of the property is still unknown.
